There’s a 14-year-old kicking butt out there on the links. Shooting a first round 3 under, 69 for a first place tie at the end of the day, Michelle Wie’s classmate, Stephanie Kono is another up-and-coming teen golf sensation.

Michelle Wie shot a 71 in both the morning and afternoon session today. She finished third behind winners David Bradshaw and Alex Knoll. Winning the U.S. Men’s Public Amateur Links would have put Wie in a position to achieve her dream of playing in the Masters.
