Michelle Wie finished the day at 1-under. She’s on the leaderboard and is in a good position to make a run at the top going into Saturday. In what would be an otherwise average day on the links, B.J. Wie may have cost his daughter two strokes.

The Miami Herald’s got a nice summary of the flap, or “bump” rather, involving Michelle Wie’s father and competitor’s parent. What’s too bad is said parent’s daughter didn’t make the cut this year.

Michelle Wie’s father B.J. Wie made his presence known at the Women’s Open last year. It lead to his firing… by himself. So why is he back on the bag for Michelle this year?
