Michelle Wie in 2006 Golf for Women

Golf for Women CoverMichelle Wie talks about her short game in the January 2006 issue of Golf for Women.

The issue is scheduled to hit stands on December 20, which means we’ll probably get it shortly before New Year’s Eve.

Or if we’re really lucky we’ll see it before the Sony Open.

Too bad she didn’t garner a cover as she did for her Fortune magazine profile.

Ah well, there’ll be plenty more like that one for sure.

    Hi:

As a golf enthusiast, my only question of Ms. Wie and her handlers is: why doesn’t Michelle concentrate on making her mark on the LPGA tour, and then, if she is dominating that tour (as is Anika Sorenstam), then tunr her attention to trying to qualify for the a PGA event. It seems to me that Michelle is thumbing her nose at the LPGA tour, and that tour deserves better. She is coming across as an arrogant, self indulgent young woman, and this is not in her long tem interest, nor is it in the interest of the LPGA tour.

    Thank you.
