Wie’s big goal: Driver’s License
The Charlotte Observer ran a nice Q&A piece on Michelle Wie showing her in a personal light beyond her golf game.
Q. After missing the cut at the 2003 Bank of America Colonial, Annika Sorenstam said she felt like she didn’t belong on the PGA Tour. What about you, looking down the line? I do belong there. I belong on the LPGA, I belong on the PGA. I think I belong in both.
Q. What’s your next big goal? Getting my (driver’s) license.
Q. How about in terms of golf? I hope that I play better this summer than last summer. … I just want to win one tournament, I think, again. Either an LPGA tournament or an amateur tournament.
